Footsmart.com
Footsmart is a unique store that sells products for the back, legs and feet. In addition to healthy shoes, they offer all types of shoe inserts, braces, support hose, and solutions for arches, bunions, and all types of foot problems. They also have a guide to health information for foot problems. Dr. Weiss has often recommended Footsmart to patients who need special help with their feet… their products are usually better and more specific than what you can find in local stores.
Relax The Back
This site has excellent devices for relieving back pain: exercise balls, inversion tables, pads, braces, furniture, and much more. They also sell Tempur Pedic memory foam beds.
www.fusionheat.com self-heating, re-usable hot packs
Hot packs are a proven way to relieve muscle tension and pain, and Dr. Weiss often recommends them. (Ice for the first stages of injury, heat for chronic problems.) Until recently there have been four types of hot packs:
1. electric
2. gel packs heated in water or a microwave
3. hydrostatic packs heated in a microwave
4. self-heating iron ore heating packs
Electric hot packs are dangerous, not only because they can cause fires, but also because they generate a very high level of ElectroMagneticFields (EMFs). So Dr. Weiss never recommends them. Gel and hydrostatic packs are OK, but they cool off once they are heated. Self-heating packs are excellent, for they provide 8 hours or more of a steady heat. But they can only be used once, so regular use becomes quite expensive. They can also get too hot.
Now there is a fifth type of hot pack: Fusion heat. Fusion hot packs are an amazing new technological advance. They use the physics of the heat of crystallization… a special type of salt crystal is released and starts to crystallize, which generates heat. It maintains a constant temperature for about two hours, unlike hot pads that you heat in water or a microwave, which start to cool down as soon as they are heated. The Fusion hot packs are reconditioned for countless future uses by heating in water… the opposite of the way other hot packs work. They can be used anywhere, as long as they have been conditioned previously.
This site sells Fusion hot packs in a variety of sizes and shapes, and also neoprene braces and cooling wraps. Dr. Weiss highly recommends that everyone get one or more Fusion hot packs, either for current muscle tension or pain problems, or for future emergencies or injuries. They are also great for relieving menstrual cramps, tension headaches, and can be used to warm a cold outdoor or car seat, or keep food warm, heat a beverage, etc.

The Sharper Image
This catalog, store and on-online store has unique and useful products in a wide variety of areas. They carry a line of "heat sensitive foam" pillows and mattresses... search by those words when you get to the site. Below are links to specific health related pages.
